Craig Hoffman was the triangle's finest luthier and repairman. Craig
made a custom Mike Gardner guitar modeled after a double
cut-away LES PAUL. The template was the famous #12 (1953) Les
Paul which Mike still covets today.
He also built Mike a custom Telecaster which is a daily tool in
Mike's tonal tool box.
"Craig and I were great friends and his death was not wasted
because of the beautiful instruments he left behind. I feel a special
spiritual connection with this guitar. The body was hand carved,
the neck shaped perfectly to my specs and the end product was art
